Aside from a love for hoops, it would seem that Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) are two young men with little in common, but they are bound by the dark secret that they share the same father (Paul Johannson). Nathan is the star of the high school basketball team and local town hero while Lucas is the only child of a single working mom (Moira Kelly). Now the two boys' lives collide when a twist of fate puts Lucas on Nathan's team and the half-brothers compete, not only for control of the court, but also for the heart of Nathan's beautiful girlfriend Peyton (Hilarie Burton). Bethany Joy Lenz, Barry Corbin and Craig Sheffer also star. Bryan Gordon directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn.
What did everyone think of this episode?? Comments!! I loved this episode! It was an amazing start!

I liked the Pilot, but I didn't love it. I don't think that it was close to as good of a show then as it is now.

I agree. I think that the show has grown so much. I liked the Pilot, but it really wasn't that great. It didn't make me REALLY want to see the next episode. I enjoyed it, but the if I think of it compared to the episodes in season 3 lol, then it just doesn't seem that great.

ya...i think its because it didn't have all that much drama....except the bball game...but come on like we didn't know Lucas was gonna win......thats the way it always is...kinda like good vs. evil.....good wins

There were definatly some great parts to the series premiere, but I still think that season got a lot better as it went on.
